About the Journal

The Journal of Climate and Community Development (JOCCD) is an international, open-access, and double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal. Established in 2022, it serves as a premier platform for disseminating high-quality research exploring the critical intersection of environmental change and societal progress.

JOCCD is a biannual publication (releasing issues in June and December) and is officially recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan in the Y-Category for 2024-2025. The journal publishes a diverse range of scholarly work, including:

  • Theoretical and conceptual articles
  • Case studies
  • Systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses

The core mission of JOCCD is to support the objectives of its publisher, the Institute for Educating Environmental Resilience and Governance (IEERG). The journal aims to provide a scientific foundation for sustainable environments and adaptable technologies while spreading global awareness regarding community-led climate action.

JOCCD is designed to inform a broad audience, including educators, government bodies, policymakers, and NGOs, enabling them to implement effective strategies for environmental stewardship.

All contents are freely available immediately upon publication to encourage the global exchange of knowledge under a Creative Commons License. The journal does not charge any submission fees. To sustain its open-access model, it charges minimal processing and publication fees only upon the acceptance of a manuscript.
