The "Journal of Climate and Community Development" (JOCCD) is committed to promoting open access to research and scholarship while recognizing the need for authors to retain control over their work. This policy outlines the licensing options available to authors publishing in JOCCD.

Author Rights:

Authors retain copyright for their published articles under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) 4.0 International license. This license allows for the unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction of the article in any medium, provided the original author and source are clearly credited.

Author Options:

Authors may choose to publish their article under one of the following additional licenses:

• Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) 4.0 International: This license allows for non-commercial use, distribution, and reproduction of the article.
• Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives (CC BY-ND) 4.0 International: This license allows for non-commercial use and distribution of the article, but does not permit modifications or adaptations.

Third-Party Content:

Authors are responsible for securing permission to use any third-party content (e.g., figures, tables, or text excerpts) in their articles. The JOCCD is not responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions.

Embargo Period:

JOCCD offers an optional embargo period of up to 12 months following publication. During this period, the article will be available only to JOCCD subscribers. After the embargo period ends, the article will be openly accessible under the chosen license.

Archiving:

Authors may archive their published articles on their personal websites or institutional repositories, provided the original publication details and JOCCD are clearly credited.

Changes to the Policy:

JOCCD reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Authors will be notified of any changes made to the policy.
