Refund Policy

I. Introduction

The Journal of Climate and Community Development (JOCCD) understands that unforeseen circumstances sometimes arise that may necessitate a refund request. This policy outlines the guidelines under which such requests will be considered.

II. Article Submission Fees

  • No refunds will be issued for article submission fees after manuscript submission. This is due to the administrative and review processes involved in manuscript evaluation.
  • Full refunds will be issued for article submission fees if the journal withdraws its invitation to submit a revised manuscript after peer review.
  • Partial refunds (50%) will be issued for article submission fees if the authors withdraw their manuscript before the peer review process begins.

III. Publication Fees

  • No refunds will be issued for article publication fees after the manuscript is accepted for publication. This is due to the significant production and editorial work involved in preparing the article for publication.
  • Full refunds will be issued for article publication fees if the journal retracts the article due to an error on its part.
  • Partial refunds (50%) will be issued for article publication fees if the authors request to withdraw their accepted manuscript before it goes to press, provided reasonable justification is provided and approved by the editor-in-chief.

IV. Other Fees

  • Full refunds will be issued for any overpayments or duplicate charges.
  • Refunds for any other fees not mentioned above will be considered on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the specific circumstances and the stage of the publication process.

V. Requesting a Refund

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the JOCCD editorial office ([editor@joccd.com]) and clearly state the reason for the request. The editor-in-chief will review the request and make a final decision.
